SECOND Day of School!

I'm that mom that didn't have her stuff together enough to post a picture of the kids on their first day of 3rd and 7th grade.  Better late than never??

Corbin Stellar - Five Months

My little prince is growing up entirely too fast.  Looking back at previous month photos makes this more evident.  I love him more every single day.  

Big decisions were made today.

I hope they were the right ones. Only time will tell.
I moved Skylar. Back to Marshall.  I still have wonderful things to say about TXVA...but she wasn't happy. She's at an age that I can still remember vividly...and I want to make her life a lot easier than mine was at 12. I HATED being 12. Mostly because 7th grade girls are bitches. Straight up. And I expect she'll be exposed to several of them at Marshall. But she has promised to make grades her top priority and social life second. That's all I can ask. The talks we've had about grades, and the fact that when we were at Regina's Meet and Greet today about 10 different girls ran up to her and hugged her neck and she looked HAPPY...makes me feel a bit better about our decision. And then there's Adam. He's been her friend since 3rd grade, started "dating" (yes, they actually go to parent chaperoned movies) in 6th grade, and they're both goofy nerds and totally sweet to each other. He goes to Marshall too. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. LOL.  I like him though.  Anyways...wish her luck...and thick skin. lol.

Two Showings Today!

Things slowed down for about a week and it started to worry me, but I've had two Realtors call me in the last 24 hours and ask to show the house today!  The girls and I have been sweeping and mopping fools.  I didn't have time to bake cookies for the 2:30 showing, but maybe I will for the 5:30 showing.  :)  I keep crossing my finger (because according to Skylar, crossing both is bad luck) and praying that this house will sell so we can buy a little bit of land and build our dream home!

Back to School Haircuts!

We had a major life event today...Lana decided she wanted to chop off her hair!  Skylar got a simple trim.  They both look great!

Born at Home

I thought we should put him in his "Born at Home" shirt before he grows out of it...which looks like might be today. He's easily already in a 6-9...and 9-12 isn't far off.  I might need to weigh and measure this chunk!

Family...the kind you enjoy being around.

My step Dad, pseudo Mom, and brothers decided that we were important enough for a SIX hour detour yesterday.  It's been so long since we've been able to get together under the same roof.  Kyle decided to drive the two hour trip to meet everyone at the house too! (unfortunately he had to leave a few hours later to go to work this morning, so he wasn't in any of the pictures.) It was a smorgasbord of short and tall. I seriously love this group.  We're always either laughing, or talking about something important, or playing instruments, or singing...we just have fun.  I can't wait until we can plan a trip to Dallas to visit them. :) We (read: I) decided to take some pictures before they left to capture the memories.  I didn't even mind that I had bed head and leftover mascara.  It was like Christmas morning, without the gifts. ;)

We had dinner with the family tonight to celebrate Grampa Ronnny's birthday.  Corbin sat in his Aunt Meagan's lap, smiling at his Mama, trying with all his little might to put both of his fists in his mouth.  I'm glad Skylar caught this moment. :)

Impromptu "Photo Shoot" with the baby this morning!

"Bean"{as we have been so lovingly calling him lately} and I woke up in a fantastic mood this morning.  We made the girls Breakfast In Bed...on fancy trays and everything.  Then we stole Big Sissy's iPhone and decided to try out the camera.  I must say; my android camera is much better.  Sorry, iPhone...you're not all that.  Anywhoooo....today is a new day.  We're happy.  We're healthy.  We're together.  I am so lucky to have a family like mine.

He's getting so mobile!  And the meaning behind the "Bean"?  Well, he's a jumping bean, growing like a bean sprout, and...well, that's about all we've got....but it seems to be appropriate.
